An auto lendor decided to sign my name to an amendment to our contract without my permission. I did agree to the terms but did not give them permission to sign my name to anything. Is this still fraud or forgery what can I do?
Answer
It technically is forgery, once they attempt to pass the signature off as being yours. However, if you otherwise agreed to the same terms that the forged agreement says, there may be little or now civil damages to be obtained through a law suit. The forged document shoudl be brought to the attention of the County Prosecutor and the Bonding company for that auto dealer. You have short time in which to bring a civil suit for the forgery.
Good luck
