I created word and excel forms for the facility I worked for. If impact let go can I take those creations with me without any legal complications. Also since the company has saved money based on those forms do I have a case to charge for the period the forms were used?
Answer
No, when you create stuff while on the payroll, it belongs to the employer; this is not to say for sure that your then-former employer would give a hoot, but you would indeed be risking possible legal action. And no, you cannot double-dip by charging for the use of the forms; you've already been paid for them via your paychecks.
