Qualitative analysis can refer to many many things in science, in business, in management etc. The basic concept is to analyze without using actual numbers, which is quantitative analysis but rather using attributes. For example, in stock market sector analysis, a qualitative analysis looks at the sector's competitors, development phases and so on.It is essentially a descriptive account of causes, trends, key elements etc using words rather then numbers.
