What happens if I show up late for my visitation from 6-8 (in Texas) but I have given notice I will not be there until 6:30 due to my drive home from work?

I normally tell the parent that is surrendering custody that waiting 30 minutes is reasonable. I would encourage the other parent to cooperate especially if you have given notice. Of course, if you read your current court order you might be able to send another competent adult to pick up the child instead of you at 6pm on the dot. I hope this helps. www.familylaw4u.com
