If a chq is issued as a guarantee what can the receiver do if there are no funds?
It depends on the laws of the Local Country. Hence, there is no single universal answer to this question.
In almost all countries issuing cheques without sufficient funds in the account is not a valid act and the cheque issuer can be legally prosecuted by the person who got the cheque.
