Question

When a married couple are new parents, who has the legal right to name the child (first and middle names, last name is not in question)?

Answer

I am not aware of a law on this in PA. I would assume that the custom in America is that both parents of the child discuss this and work out a name which is mutually satisfactory. Other cultures may have some sort of preference for mother or father but I am not aware of any in the US.
