Is capitalism different form slavery or its just a sexy word for modern day slavery?
Nobody spurs you to eat at McDonalds or KFC.
Capitalism is only analogous to slavery, an essential difference being that under Economics those with money do not necessarily have to work for a living, which is not exactly the same as slaves being able to buy their freedom. Another difference is that slaves are physically forced to work, whereas the servants of the Economy merely believe that it must be served. Economics is a kind of religion, a belief system whose principal tenet is There is no such thing as a free lunch, whose moral is Buy low, sell high, and whose catechism is Never give a sucker an even break. It ducks the important question: who owns the lunch and how did they get possession of it? This has led to political debate of the bloody kind.
