Problems brought by rapid population growth?

Problems brought by rapid population growth?
Deforestation
Pollution
Mental imbalance
Chaotic behavior
Destruction

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The population "explosion" isn't local, it is global. The World is in a crisis. We have too many people EVERYWHERE. Our wildernesses are disappearing at an alarming rate. We are in an energy deficit. We're permanently using up resources that should have been for our grandchildren. It is like deficit spending of our entire globe.

On a more local level, in the USA, as the population grows, roads need to be enlarged, bigger freeways, more infrastructure, etc. AND MORE FOOD. Which means more farmland, more resources.

Hospitals, Public Services, etc.

In then USA, when we went through industrialization and mechanization, the farms got bigger. Yet, we are still at risk as urban sprawl takes away from valuable farmland.

In third world countries, as the families grow, the farms get divided up and get smaller, to a point where they can no longer support anyone.

With a lack of resources, perhaps lack of different crops, there is the risk of

Famine
Pestilence
Disease

Both in the people and the crops. And no infrastructure to handle it. And, the population explosion often isn't in the right place. Growth where it is not needed, no growth where it is needed.

How much of the world should be dedicated to a single species?
