How are non-profit hospitals financed?
Non-profit doesn't mean they're a charity or their services arefree. Patients pay charges for services to cover the expensesincurred by the hospital. Non-profit means the institution does notmake a profit. Normal corporations make profits (they charge morethan their expenses) with which they pay dividends to theirshareholders.
