Question

My daughter purchased a car in Dec 2013. She had a loan for the amount of $4500. She presented the Dealership with the check from the bank but there was still a balance leftover due to taxes tags, etc. I myself verbally promised to pay the balance using my checking account. I made the first 6 pymts but due to a job change the last 2 pymts bounced. We never signed a contract in regards to these separate pymts and he has now repossessed her car. Do I have any grounds to make him return the vehicle as he is not the finance company ?

Answer

Sure, just make good on the last two payments that are still due to this dealership and then demand return of the vehicle.
